Are you ignoring unadvertised jobs in your job search? Sure, it’s easier to look for jobs advertised online or in your local newspaper, but that is the weakness in searching only for advertised jobs. If it was easy for you to find the job lead, it was also easy for plenty of other people to find the same job lead. You end up competing with a lot of people when you apply to advertised jobs. Advertised jobs may be easy to find, but they are difficult to get once you’ve found them. In your job search, it’s wise to develop several strategies you can use to find unadvertised jobs in your area.
